Number of oatmeal cups =
3(1)/(2)=(7)/(2) cups

Number of cups of milk needed for 7/2 cups of oatmeal =
8(3)/(4)

=
(35)/(4) cups

Hence, number of cups of milk used of 1 cup of oatmeal =

((35)/(4))/((7)/(2))

=
(35)/(4)* (2)/(7)

=
(5)/(2) cups

Or in mixed fraction it is =
2(1)/(2) cups
