Formula

V = 1/3 pi r^2 h

Givens

r = d/2 = 2/2 = 1 inch

pi = 3.14

h = 4 inches

Solution

V = 1/3 * 3.14 * 1^2 * 4

V = 4.187

Cup B

Formula

V = pi * r^2 * h

Givens

pi = 3.14

r = d/2 = 2/2 = 1

h = 6

Solution

V = pi * r^2 * h

V = 3.14 * 1^2 * 6

V = 18.84

Answer

VB - VA = 18.84 cu in - 4.187 = 14.65 = 14.7 Rounded.
