Since you want to know the values of x, and y, plug in 0 for the x and y when you are solving, first I would be finding x so I would plug in 0 for y

14x + 16(0) = 58

14x = 58

x = 4.14285714286

Next do the same for y

14(0) + 16y = 58

16y = 58

y = 3.625
