First, multiply both sides of the equation by 12. This will isolate
n:

(4)/(7) \cdot 12 = (n)/(12) \cdot 12

(48)/(7) = n

Our answer is
\boxed{n = (48)/(7)}.

4/7=N/12 cross multiply

7N=4*12

7N=48

N=48/7

So your answer is 6 6/7 or 6.8571428
