We have 6x - 2y = 12

Writing it in linear equation form we get;

2y = 6x - 12

Divivinding throughout by two gives;

y = 3x - 6

When x is zero then y is -6;

So one of the solutions is (0,-6)

When y is zero then x is 6/3 = 2;

So the other solution is (2,0)

6x - 2y = 12

2y = -6x + 12

y = -3x + 6

Table:

x y

1 3

-1 9

0 6

2 0

-2 12
