Simplify: - 2( 7 - 2x )



Showing Work:

−2(7 − 2x)

= (−2)(7 + − 2x)

= (−2)(7) + (−2)(−2x)

= −14 + 4x

Answer = 4x − 14

Multiply -2 with 7 and -2x.

-14 + 4x


If the expression is = 0, then;

-14 + 4x = 0

4x = 14

x = 14 / 4

x = 7/2
