Step-by-step explanation:

1 (7)/(8)+2 (2)/(3)

add by the whole numbers.

1+2=3

then combine the fraction.

=(37)/(24)

3+(37)/(24)

convert improper fractions into the mixed numbers.

(37)/(24)=1 (13)/(24)

finally add by the numbers.

3+1=4

\boxed{=4(13)/(24) }

Hope this helps!

Convert le fractions to whole numbers or decimals. So multiply the whole number to the denominator and then make them equal to each other. That would make 15 over 8 and 8 over 3. Now you have to make those two numbers denominators the same. So multiply 8 by 3 to get 24, and 3 by 8 to get 24. Then multiply the numerators by 3 and by 8. Add 45 over 24 and 64 over 24. Then simplify and then theres yo answer. It is 4 13/24
