The perimeter of a parallelogram is 88 cm and one of its adjacent sides is longer

than the other by 10 cm. Find the length of each of its sides.​

Answer:

sides are 17 cm and 27 cm

Explanation:

let the side be x then the adjacent side is x + 10

The perimeter is then

x + x + x + 10 + x + 10 = 88, that is

4x + 20 = 88 ( subtract 20 from both sides )

4x = 68 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 17

and x + 10 = 17 + 10 = 27

The sides of the parallelogram are 17 cm and 27 cm
