An agreement between Germany and the Soviet Union in which they vowed never to attack each other;

The Nonaggression pact

Germany and the USSR took part in a "nonagression pact", which meant that there would be no fighting in between each other. It was broken after the Nazi's started Operation Barbossa, a surprise attack that took huge swacth of land from the USSR.
