it helps to seperate the variables. Maybe highlighting the x one color y's another color and constant another. just so you can see the different numbers. it gets confusing looking at everything all together.

Answer:

=−3x+3y+15

Step by Step:

2y − 4x + 14 − 6y + 3x − 8 − 2x + 9 + 7y

=2y +−4x + 14 +−6y + 3x +−8 +−2x + 9 + 7y

Combine Like Terms:

=2y +−4x +1 4 +−6y + 3x +−8 +−2x + 9 + 7y

=(−4x + 3x +−2x) + (2y +−6y + 7y) + (14 +−8 + 9)

=−3x + 3y + 15
