The range is the highest number minus the lowest number. So in this case it would be:

16 - 5 = 11

Hope this helps! :)

Answer:

11

Explanation:

We are given a data set which includes the following elements:

5, 7, 12, 14, 16, 16

It is a good idea to arrange the data set in an ascending order before working on it but our data set is already arranged in ascending order so we do not need to re-arrange it.

Range is the difference between the highest and the lowest elements of the data set. Here 5 is the lowest number and 16 is the highest.

So range = 16 - 5 = 11
