How did mythology help the Greeks explain the natural world

Greeks Used Mythology as a explaintion of occurances they themselves could not explain. They believed changes in the wheater were a sign of that their Gods were not pleased with them, They also believed if they did not do certain tasks they would not be accepted into the afterlife as they called it the "Elysium fields"
