Health services in a third world country and 1st world countries
First world:
When you are sick you have lots of options available to you. Depending on where you live for example america you can get health insurance to help cover the cost if you are ill Also people are well trained. In England the health care is free and usually you get to see a doctor within a short period of time and you get the care you need pretty quickly at no cost to you unless you go private. If you become seriously sick you have 111 which is your first port of call if your not sure if you need an ambulance or not. The people working at 111 are trained doctors,Paramedics, and other medical providers who are specially trained to deal with your situation and give you the best advice for your medical complaint. If you should need the ambulance you call 911 and usually the ambulance is able to get to you within half an hour and the local hospital is also usually 5 miles away or less.
;Third world country:
About 80 percent of people in third world countries have to rely on local health care for health care. These are often poorly trained or poorly equipped clinics or healers with no medical knowledge. There are no 911 numbers to call or ambulances. People often have to travel many miles by foot to get to a hospital or clinic sometimes taking them days. People with medical issues can usually do nothing about their illnesses as they can't afford medicine or a doctor.
In conclusion:
We are very fortunate in 1st world countries as we know we can get the care we need without fear. In third world countries sometimes people are so sick they die before they get to the hospital for treatment as sometimes it takes days and some people can't wait for that time.
