Amount of clay used = volume of the sphere

It is given that the radius of the sphere is 2 inches.

Volume of the sphere =
(4)/(3) \pi r^(3)

=(4)/(3) \pi (2^(3) )

=(4)/(3) \pi (8)

=(32)/(3) \pi

Hence, the amount of modeling clay Terrence used
=(32)/(3) \pi cubic inches.
