Write an equation of the line that passes through point (0,-5) and is perpendicular the line -3x+y=-15.

The slope formula for -3x+y=-15 is y=3x-15 and to get that all you need to do is add 3x to both sides.To make a line perpendicular to that line, and go through the point (0, -5) is make the slope a negative and make the y-intercept -5, therefore the answer is y=-3x-5
