The slope-intercept form:

y=mx+b

m - slope

b - y-intercept

We have the point (2, -2). Substitute:

-2=2m+b subtract 2a from both sides

-2m-2=b\to b=-2m-2

Answer:
y=mx-2m-2=mx-2(m+1)
