Answer: Bess had been keeping track of the storm for 14 hours.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of miles he recorded yesterday = 135 miles

Number of miles he recorded today = 75 miles

Total number of miles = 135+75=210 miles

Speed = 15 miles per hour

So, Time taken is given by

time=(distance)/(Speed)\\\\Time=(210)/(15)\\\\time=14\ hours

Hence, Bess had been keeping track of the storm for 14 hours.

1) in first place you need establish a relation of miles per hour , 15 miles / h

the total miles that Bess has been keeping track the storm is 75+135 =210

2) Now 15 miles ___ 1 h

210 miles ___x (h)

x(h) = 210 miles * 1 h / 15 miles = 14 hrs Bess has been keeping track of the storm
