Answer: (d) y-28=3(x-6)

Explanation:

The time period between the columns of the table is 3 weeks. Per every 3 week period there is an increase of $9, so $3 per week. Also, from the table we can work backwards to week 0 to see that the amount would have been 10. So we are looking for a linear function

y = 3x+10

Looking over the choices (we need to do some rewriting), it is only the last choice that corresponds to the above equation:

y-28=3(x-6)

y-28=3x-18

y = 3x -18 +28

y = 3x + 10
