A)

Because they are buying cans that cost $10 but we don’t know how much cans so 10c ($10 x amount of cans) and same goes for the $2 brushes ($2 x amount of brushes). Which will then end up the amount of all

10 is the value of every can and $ 2 is the cost of every brush, then the total cost is equal 50, an it is

$10 c + $ 2 b = 50, this is the equation that represents the total cost,
