Find the distance between the points to the nearest tenth.

1. C(-1, -1), D(6, 2)

\mathrm{Compute\:the\:distance\:between\:}\left(x_1,\:y_1\right),\:\left(x_2,\:y_2\right):\quad √(\left(x_2-x_1\right)^2+\left(y_2-y_1\right)^2)

=√(\left(6-\left(-1\right)\right)^2+\left(2-\left(-1\right)\right)^2)

=√(58)

= 7.6

2. E(-7, 0), F(5 ,8)

=√(\left(5-\left(-7\right)\right)^2+\left(8-0\right)^2)

=4√(13)

=3(3.6)

=10.8

AB has endpoints A(-3, 2) and B(3, -2).

3. find the coordinates of the midpoint of Line AB

\mathrm{Midpoint\:of\:}\left(x_1,\:y_1\right),\:\left(x_2,\:y_2\right):\quad \left((x_2+x_1)/(2),\:\:(y_2+y_1)/(2)\right)

=\left((3-3)/(2),\:(-2+2)/(2)\right)

=\left(0,\:0\right)

4. Find AB to the nearest tenth

AB = √(\left(3-\left(-3\right)\right)^2+\left(-2-2\right)^2)

AB =2√(13)

AB =2(3.6)

AB = 7.2 units.
