Answer:

The value of x is 3

Explanation:

3b^2 +9b + 4 divide by 3b

(3b^2 +9b + 4)/(3b)

Divide each term by 3b

(3b^2)/(3b)  + (9b)/(3b) +(4)/(3b)

(3b^2)/(3b) = b

(9b)/(3b) =3 (b gets cancelled, 9/3=3)

x is the middle term.

The value of x is 3
