1. Slope
M = -5/4

2. Y- intercept
Y = mx + b
-9 = (-5/4)(8) + b
-9 = -10 + b
-9 + 10 = -10 + 10 + b (the ten cancels out and we are just left with our b)
1 = b

So, therefore, the equation is:
Y = -5/4x + 1

Answer:

y=-5/4x-19

Explanation:

y=-5/4(x(-8))-9

y=-5/4x-10-9

y=-5/4x-19
