Answer: To my belief, I think what he is trying to say is that Dill is too young to emotionally handle racism and gets emotionally and vulnerably weak each time someone is racist to him. What I think he is saying is that with time Dill will get stronger and be able to slowly handle any slurs or racist remarks thrown at him, though Dill won't cry or become weak, he will still think that what they are saying is just not okay and right for someone to say.
