Remembering that k is most often used as a parameter (such as a constant of proportionality) and that y is most often used as a variable (dependent variable), let's solve 1.6k=1.3y for y:

1.3y = 1.6k 1.6k

Dividing both sides by 1.3 yields y = -----------

1.3

16k

or y = --------- or y = (16/13)k
