For the short story "Was this a Dream" ...
Imagine a new scene. A scene that might've taken place in this narrative when a police officer and a cemetery groundskeeper awaken the narrator in the morning. In script format, write the conversation which might conceivably take place. Use dialogue to reveal character. Focus on character development - i.e. the main character's thought's and actions - if they are different, why - if they are not, what is preventing him from changing/adapting/keeping up with the world. Simply repeating the events of the "previous night" does not demonstrate character development.
