The cause of the Civil War in the United States is the different views on slavery. The people in the North opposed slavery while the people in the South were all for it. Because of the constant arguing over the year a civil war broke out.

The most important cause of the Civil War was slavery. In the North, there were industries and trades. So the people did not need a lot of cheap labor and they did not agree with the idea of slavery. In the South, most were farmers and they needed a lot of help in the field. So they wanted to keep their slaves for free labor. Eventually that led to the Civil War.
