If you take away the two from the x first in 2 times x plus 3 equals 7 what does x equal

x = 2 because when you set out the problem it looks like this ...
2x+3=7 now you have to subtract 3
-3 -3
so now it’s ...
2x = 4
now you divide both numbers by 2
so the answer is x = 2

The answer is x=2 because 2x + 3 = 7
-3 -3
2x = 4
÷2 ÷2
x = 2
