f(x)=x^2-4x-12

factor

(x-6) (x+2)

The zeros are at 6, -2

to find the vertex find the axis of symetry

the axis of symmerty is at (-2+6)/2=4/2 =2

x=2

to find the y coordinate, put it into the equation

y =2^2 -4(2) -12

= 4-8-12

= 4-20

= -16

vertex (2,-16)

largest x intercept x=6

y intercept -12
