Answer:

D) People don't always get what they want.

Step-by-step explanation:

"First Love," written by Judith Ortiz Cofer, tells the story of a 14-year-old girl who is in love with a boy older than her. Because of her desire to be with the boy she loves, the girl does everything she can to see him, to be near him and to be noticed. Although she tries very hard, she is never noticed by the boy, who lives a phase of life very different from hers and has other interests. Even in love disappointment, the girl understands the true meaning of love and goes on with her life with the lesson that people don't always get what they want and it's okay not to get what they want because the future is a surprise box and Better things can come up at any time.
