Explanation:

slope = change in y / change in x

slope = ((4)-(-2))/((9)-(-7))

slope = (4+2)/(9+7)

slope = 6/16

slope = 3/8

slope = 0.375

slope = (y2-y1)/ (x2-x1)

m= (4--2)/(9--7)

m =( 4+2)/(9+7)

m=6/16

divide by 2

m =3/8
