Answer: x=-42 *The answer should be the negative sign.*

Explanation:

Multiplication property of equality is multiplying both sides of an equation by the same number does not change the equation.

x/6=-7

multiply by 6 both sides of an equation.

6x/6=6(-7)

simplify.

7*6=42

6*7=42

42/7=6

42/6=7

It changes to positive to negative.

x=-42

Hope this helps!

Thanks!

Have a great day!

Answer:

x = -42 is your answer

Explanation:

x/6 = -7

Isolate the x. Note the equal sign, what you do to one side, you do to the other.

Multiply 6 to both sides

(x/6)(6) = (-7)(6)

x = (-7)(6)

Simplify. Multiply 6 with -7

x = (-7)(6)

x = -42
