The correct answer is option C . Despite being born into a low-middle class family and having married an employee with little economic power, Madame Loisel considers herself an aristocrat, a woman of high society. Her husband tries with all his effort to make her happy, giving her everything she wants, which ends up leading him to poverty. But for Madame Loisel, that is not enough. In fact, she continues to be unhappy, constantly feeling the need for something else.
