For number 1 your trying to show a way in how to subtract. One way of showing how to subtract 7 is 7-5=2. You would draw those cubes and color 5 in leaving you with two blank.

#2 Would Be 7-4 which would give you 3

#3 Would Be 8+8-1 which would give you 15
