Its an isosceles triangle. Therefore m∠C = m∠A → m∠C = 73°:

8y-7=73 add 7 to both sides

8y=80 divide both sides by 8

\boxed{y=10}

We know: The sum of measures of the angles of a triangle is equal 180°.

Therefore we have the equation:

6x+4+73+73=180

6x+150=180 subtract 150 from both sides

6x=30 divide both sides by 6

\boxed{x=5}
