Gutenberg's printing press changed religion, society, and paved the way for the rapid production of books. He borrowed 1000 dollars from one of his friends in order to purchase this printing press. He made millions and millions of copies of the Bible. The Bible was a luxury only the wealthiest could afford back then. He made so many copies, that it made it easier for the poorer people to own a Bible and learn about God. This led to the Bible being more affordable and popular around the world.
