Explanation:

A bag contains 10 cards numbered 1 through 10. That means the cards are numbered 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10.

The multiples of 3 are numbers that are evenly divided by 3. These are 3,6 and 9 in the cards. There are 3 multiple of 3 from 1 to 10.

Probability that the card has a multiple of 3 on it will now be the number of cards with a multiple of 3 divided by the total number of cards. This will give:

= 3/10
