What do ovaries contain?

The ovaries hold the female gamete cell, called the eggs. The ovaries are known to be filled with follicles. Follicles are fluid-filled structures in which the egg grows to maturity. Which then release every period. And combine with sperm cells, to make an organism, (a baby).

The ovaries contain the female gamete cell, called the oocytes. In non medical terms, the oocyte is called the “egg”. The ovaries are filled with follicles. Follicles are fluid-filled structures in which the oocyte (also called egg) grows to maturity.
