It is, but this isn't exactly a question. For the South, land ownership was important because it meant food and homes to them. They could have crops and sell them, own a home for their family, etc.

Answer:

Option: D. Land Ownership

Step-by-step explanation:

Land ownership was the most valued possession in the south. Most of the destruction of the Civil War can be seen in the south, their money was in no value they were in debt, after losing the war they tried to restore their land (plantations) by paying debts. The land has been important for the south because they were planters. They grew cash crops in plantations mostly cotton where they earned their profit with the help of slavery.
