The sugar Acts, please explain what they did and why the colonists were opposed to them. In 3 sentences.

the sugar act of 1764 prohibited any sugar and molasses being traded from French and Dutch exports. They were often caught at the harbor with these goods which were then confiscated. This was after the french and indian war to increase revenue for the british empire after the L that they took.
