Answer: a translation is simply sliding the shape in any direction without flipping it or spinning it. Image sliding a piece of paper without turning it at all. Spinning it would be a rotation. The shape’s center point (the middle) stays the same, all you do it turn it, or rotate it. Imagine putting your finger in the center of the shape (or given point) and holding the paper down to the table, but spinning it the amount told. Flipping it would be the reflection part. It’s a mirror image. The image keeps it shape and size. Image flipping over a piece of paper.
