Alright, you have integers. No worries, I could help!! The first problem, since there’s parentheses, you do that equation first. 14+7=21. Then you have to add -7. Since you’re “adding” -7, you subtract seven because when you’re in the positive section and there’s a negative involved, you always have to subtract instead of add. 21-7=14, there’s your answer!!

Tip: If you’re adding both negatives, for example, -14+-7 you’ll get a negative because you’re going backwards on the number line. The answer for that is -21.
