Answer:

First nunber: -17.5

Secind number: -16.5

Explanation:

The sum of two consecutive integers is -34, Find the two integers

Let x = first number

X+1 = second number

-34= to get

X+x+1=-34

Add x

2x+1=-34

Subtract 1 both sides

2x= -34-1

Subtract -34-1

2x= -35

Divide 2 both sides

2x/2=-35/2

Your first number

X= -17.5

Now add your result to second equation to find your second number

X+1=second number

-17.5+1= second number

-16.5=second number

Now add your furst and second number to see if you get -34

-17.5+(-16.5)= -34

-34=-34

It checks
