The Revolutions of 1848, known in some countries as the Spring of Nations, People's Spring, Springtime of the Peoples,[4] or the Year of Revolution, were a series of political upheavals throughout Europe in 1848. It remains the most widespread revolutionary wave in European history.
The Liberals and Nationalist were discontent at poor governance and life was a major cause of the Revolutions of 1848. Bad harvests and economic depression in the years leading up to the 1848 created massive discontent throughout all of Europe, and food riots were common and unemployment was also created due to the economic crisis.
