let's make en equation..
a for apples
p for pears.
since we know a kilogram of pears cost 1.30
2a+7p= 12.70
we can put in the value of pears
2a+7(1.30)= 12.70
2a+ 9.1 = 12.70
2a = 12.70 - 9.1
2a= 3.6
a= 3.6/ 2
a= 1.8 a kilogram of apples cost 1.8£
