Answer: Part A:

1: 0

2: 1

3: 2

4: 3

5: 4

Part B:

2: 4

Explanation:

All you need to do is substitute the variable n with the given number. For example, in one of the problems n=2. Since the equation given is n - 1 = M, then just replace n with 2 since n=2. That means the equation will turn into

2 - 1 = M. Now just do the math. 2 - 1 = 1. So, M = 1.

Same goes with part b. Just substitute the variable V with the number they’ve given you except this time you multiply because if two numbers or variables are next to each other, that means multiplication. Since V = 2t, that means you multiply t by two. Look at where t=4 for example. Substitute t in the equation for 4. V = 2 (4). 2 times 4 is 8. This means V=8.
