3(1)/(2) =(7)/(2) so the equation can be rewritten as 2/3+7/2.

When adding fractions, you need to make sure the denominators are the same. To do this, multiply the fractions that a number that will make them equal. In this question, we can use 2 for the first fraction and 3 for the second fraction:

(2)/(3) *(2)/(2) =(4)/(6)

(7)/(2) * (3)/(3)= (21)/(6)

Now, the equation is 4/7+21/6.

You can solve by adding the numerators, keeping the denominators, and simplifying.

4+21=25

25/6 cannot be simplified so this is the final answer.

Hope this helps!!

common denominator of 2/3 and 1/2 is 6. THis makes 2/3=4/6 and 1/2=3/6

our new equation is 4/6+ 3 3/6= 3 7/6=4 1/6
