It's a linear function. We only need two points to draw a graph.

Select any two x values and calculate y:

y=(1)/(2)x\\\\for\ x=0\to y=(1)/(2)(0)=0\to(0,\ 0)\\\\for\ x=2\to y=(1)/(2)(2)=1\to(2,\ 1)

Hello there,

The equation given is: y = 1/2x

The slope in the equation would be...1/2

  • This means you have to go up one and over two

The y-intercept would be zero so they go through the points (0,0)

So to plot that you will have to...

  1. Plot the y-intercept on (0,0)
  2. The from there you go up one box and over two boxes
  3. Repeat step 2 as many times as needed
  4. Connect all the points

Hope I helped!
