Answer:

9/10

Explanation:

Hello!

The easiest way to break this problem down is to ad up all of the parts, but to do that they need the same denominator!

our fractions are

1/6

2/5

1/3

Now we need to find a common multiple that these numbers have!

lets start with 6

6, 12, 18, 24, 30

Now 5

5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30

Now 3

3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30

They all have 30 in common!

So now we convert them so their denominator is 30!

We do this by multiplying the numerator by whatever we multiplied the denominator by to get 30!

1/6 = 1x1 6x5 = 5/30

2/5 = 2x6 5x6= 12/30

1/3 = 1x10 3x10 =10/30

Now we add!

5+12+10= 27

27/30

Now we simplify this equation

27/3= 9 30/3 = 10

9/10

So she has read 9/10 of her book!

Hope this helps!^^

Answer:

9/10

Explanation:

1. Find the least common denominator for the fractions

2. The lcd is 30

3. If 6 x 5 is 30 then you have to multiply 1 x 5 also

4. Multiply 5 x 6 also multiply 2 x 6

5. Multiply 3 x 10 also multiply 1 x 10

6. you get 27/30 when you add 5/30, 12/30, and 10/30.

7. Simplify 27/30 you get 9/10
