The Taj Mahal, built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, was built in the memory of his wife. Taj Mahal´s architecture is considered as "the jewel of muslim art in India" by the UNESCO . Its architecture was inspired in Persian and earlu Mughal designs and architecture.
