The slope-intercept form: y = mx + b

m - slope

b - y-intercept

We have m= -7. Substitute:

y = -7x + b

We have the point (-4, 2). Substitute the coordinates of the point to the equation:

2 = -7(-4) + b

2 = 28 + b subtract 28 from both sides

-26 = b → b = -26

Answer: y = -7x - 26
